In 1925, The Leonard Piano Company introduced their first line of baby grand pianos to the American market. These early Leonard baby grand pianos were often built in special case designs reflecting historical and period furniture styles. This beautiful Leonard Baby Grand Piano is made of elegantly carved Honduras Mahogany wood made in the Louis XVI furniture style. It's stunning custom hand-painted cabinet depicts period rural scenery of ladies and lovers, florals, and ribbons which echo the French and Italian Renaissance styles. The sides and back of the piano are adorned with beautifully detailed brass floral & ribbon carving, giving this instrument an overall handsome and elegant appearance. This instrument is deceptively small, measuring only 4 feet 11 inches long, making it ideal for someone with limited space. Despite its small size, this piano has a large, strong tone quality that one comes to expect from a well made baby grand piano from the early 20th Century.
